THANK YOU, MISTRESS

By Louisa Panucci.

Directed and dramaturged by Dax Carnay-Hanrahan. Melbourne Fringe 2026. The Motley Bauhaus, 12 to 18 October.

Poster for a theatrical production titled 'Thank You, Mistress,' featuring a woman in glamorous attire with jewelry, and smaller silhouettes of two people kissing, with details about the show dates (October 12-18) and location (Motley Bauhaus).

A dom and a sub, and a negotiation that was never just about sex. Louisa Panucci's two hander strips a power exchange down to what is actually being traded: time, labour, permission, need. I am directing it as a play about class, because every contract in that room runs on the same logic as every contract outside it. Somebody sets the terms, somebody agrees, and we all pretend it was freely chosen. Edgy, sexy, and quietly devastating, with Louisa Panucci and Marc Opitz. A companion radio play lands October 2026.
